Hangzhou will hold China's first online animation and games industrial trade fair from April 28 to May 5.
The event precedes the 16th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival, which was originally scheduled to be held from April 30 to May 5 but has been postponed to late September and early October due to the coronavirus.
The fair, with a focus on digital technology and animation, will be held by the executing committee of the China International Cartoon and Animation Festival with the help of the Hangzhou publicity department, Zhejiang Bureau of Radio and Television and Zhejiang Radio and TV Group.
It will highlight the use of 5G, big data, artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies.
The event will feature an "online trade" session, during which participants will witness the release of new cartoons, IP authorizations, speeches and other events. Companies can also negotiate trade operations during the session.
The fair will also include an online exhibition of cartoons revolving around fighting the epidemic, an online cartoon competition, a cosplay performance and more.
The executing committee of the China International Cartoon and Animation Festival is also making preparations for the festival this autumn.
