Zhejiang Xingchenhui, a charity organization from Taizhou Road Community, Gongchen Bridge Block, Gongshu District, bought superior food materials using its self-raised funds and cooked more than 7,000 bowls of Laba porridge at the inner kitchen of Xiangji Temple yesterday, which costed over 50 volunteers a whole day. The porridge was distributed to nursing homes, work therapy stations, apartments for the elderly, and “Canal Uncles & Aunts” volunteer service stations in the community to spread love and care and send best wishes for New Year.
