Rugby field for Hangzhou 2022, located in Cangqian Campus of Hangzhou Normal University (HNU) accommodating 12,000 audiences, is the first venue of Hangzhou 2022 passing the acceptance inspection in Zhejiang. At present, with all ready here, this venue will witness the first test event soon.

As it is layered with ecological structure and equipped with various sensors, the venue’s lawn can get precisely irrigated and stay green all the time with the lowest consumption of water and labor. Sensors upload the data each three minutes, with which personnel can make instructions for maintaining the lawn.

The ecological 3-layer structure of the base of lawn mainly contains crushed rock and washed river sand. Such a structure has an excellent water permeability so that the roots of grass can breathe freely.
