The Second China-Central and Eastern European Countries Curators' Forum of Libraries Union opened in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Oct 13.

The forum was held online and attracted 69 libraries from across the globe. A total of 22 curators shared their opinions on topics including "the future of public libraries in the post-epidemic era" and "the development of public and intelligent libraries".

Barbara Lison, president of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, said during the forum that the partnerships between libraries are vital to coping with the negative effects of the global pandemic.

Liu Dong, curator of the Hangzhou Public Library, announced a two-year work plan (2022-23) for the union and promised to cooperate with global libraries to exchange resources and culture.
