On the final list were 4 second-prize winners, 5 third-prize winners, and 6 best organisers, winning 50,000 yuan, 30,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan respectively (pretax).
The competition has gained extensive attention from all walks of life since the announcement was released on February 24. As of June 18, the competition organiser received 1,504 entries, the total running time reaching 41 hours and 56 minutes. All these videos are of various types, including drama, documentary, aerial photography, animation, montage, random filming, etc.
The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Organising Committee set up a formal examination unit consisting of nine experts to examine every entry and invited five experts from the field of movie and TV communication to review all entries under the supervision of notaries and superintendents. Sticking to the announcement of the competition and the overall plan of the review, the jury reviewed the videos from multiple perspectives, including theme and concept, content and structure, shooting and editing, innovation and breakthrough, communication value, etc. Nine short videos with distinct theme, complete structure, exquisite conception and co-existing refinement and popularity stood out from the others, winning the second and third prizes. The first prize remained vacant, which led to an added second prize.
