While sports stars have blasted the Internet these days, it was surprising to know that 5 Olympic gold medalists are trained in Zhejiang College of Sports.
As of today, the athletes have brought total numbers of medals to 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal to the college in this year’s Olympic Games.

The first gold medalist that come from the college went to another young weightlifter, Shi Zhiyong, who not only won twice but broke the world record lifting 363kg.
The dean of the college, Zhan Xugang, is also an Olympic weightlifting champion in 1996 and 2000 and is still raising the bar.
Wang Shun, the so-called “Olympic crush” due to his fine looking, has claimed the men's 200m individual medley gold medal, also China's first men's swimming gold in this Games.
Wang Yilv and Chen Feiyu, both being badminton players, performed excellently this year. Wang and his partner Huang Dongping won the badminton mixed doubles gold, and Chen came later and won over a back-and-forth battle in the final against her durable opponent Tai Tzu Ying.
