Recently, the Hangzhou Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Shanghai Art & Design Academy signed a strategic cooperation agreement, whereby the former was granted another role, the Academy’s learning center on the restoration of cultural relics.

"Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Relics (RCCR) is one of the top majors at Shanghai Art & Design Academy. Over the past years, a large number of RCCR majors graduating from the Academy have been working hard on the front line of the industry and earned themselves a good reputation," said Hu Lihong, Director General of the Hangzhou Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology.

As professor Zhou Jingwei, Deputy Dean of the School of Arts and Crafts of Shanghai Art & Design Academy has put, the learning center is not only an attempt to help students have more hands-on experience, but also one that improves the college education system so that students, with both professional knowledge and practical skills, can be well-prepared for the real world and the industry they specialize in. To that end, we hope to cooperate with the Institute and cultivate more top professionals who will be ready for the industry by the time they graduate.”
