ZHUJI, China, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- With five players scoring in double-digit points, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls edged the Guangzhou Loong Lions 108-104 in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Sunday.

Zhejiang guard Wu Qian had 27 points and nine assists. Sylven Landesberg collected 22 points and six rebounds. Isaac Haas led Guangzhou with 22 points plus 12 rebounds. Dallas Moore got 17 points.

The game was tied at 99-99 before the last minute and Lu Wenbo's three-point play moved Zhejiang closer to victory. As Haas missed two free throws, Guangzhou could only use foul tactics in the closing seconds, only to see Zhejiang players converted both free throws each time.

After a seesawing first half, Zhejiang trailed by 71-76 before the final quarter, but the team had 8-2 run in the midway of the forth quarter to turn the table and finally clinched the victory with a steady performance from free throws.

"Guangzhou is a tough team with balanced players from inside to outside. Today we withstood the pressure of rebounding and seized the opportunity of free throws, therefore we got the victory," said Zhejiang head coach Liu Weiwei.
