Data from Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism showed last night that Hangzhou had received 17,985,200 visits during the National Day holiday by 4:00 p.m., 7th October. The total number of visits is 94.89% of the number during the same period in 2019. 8,869,700 visits were from non-local tourists. Scenic area tour, country tour, and museum tour were the three major impetuses to Hangzhou’s gaining in popularity and vitality over the seven-day break. New cultural and tourism activities like immersive performances and traditional celebrations also won both profits and praise.
