Newborn sika deer discovered in Qingliangfeng

Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve is located at Lin'an district, Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province. Park ranger Xu Shuyan found a newborn sika deer on his tour in the mountain.

It is a male sika deer that weighs about 5kg. 

Every year in May is the South China sika deer's calving period. During this period, wild sika deer are very alert thus normally people can barely see their newborns.

Please note that all hikers and tourists should not step into the reserve, especially the core area at this peirod of time. Currently most of the wild animals and plants are in the season of flowering, fruiting and multiplying. Humans should not disturb.
