The first pile foundation of Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway Phase II starting drilling recently, marking the official opening of main construction of this project. Once finished, travel between Hangzhou and Wenzhou, two major cities in East China’s Zhejiang province, will be shortened to one hour.

This drilling is a chief project of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway Phase II, crossing important hubs including Dayuan Brook and Shibu Bridge. Its total length is 4,149.55 meters.

In this phase, a new high-speed railway will link Tonglu East station and Yiwu station, passing through counties like Tonglu, Pujiang and Yiwu. Designated speed is 350 km per hour.

Zhejiang has been devoting to establish a one-hour transportation circle, enabling residents to travel between any two cities in the province within one hour.
