The free entry will come into effect for people in these groups that hold a health code showing green and who have not been out of Zhejiang for the 14 days prior to their visit to Qiandao Lake. Zhejiang residents visiting the scenic area should take with them their ID cards, while migrant workers should take both their ID cards and residence permits.
Qiandao Lake scenic area has put forward four distinctive travel routes featuring health, sports, cultural, and rural elements.
Qiandao Lake, which literally means "thousand-islet lake," derives its name from the 1,078 islets dotted within its waters. Being a reservoir that was formed after the construction of the Xin'an River Hydroelectric Power Station, it contains more islets than any other lake in the world. It is now considered a tourism area and a popular spot for holiday homes.
