On December 10, Chinese Football Association officially announced that, Hangzhou would hold the 2027 AFC U20 Asian Cup Finals. This is the second consecutive time for China to host the event after Shenzhen in 2025.

The event will be launched from March 24 to April 10, 2027. Sixteen teams are divided into four groups, and compete in 31 matches. The top three teams secure spots for the 2027 U20 World Cup jointly held by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
