The 17th Liuyang Fireworks Festival dazzled spectators on Friday as it commenced in Liuyang, Hunan province, known as China's fireworks capital.

The opening ceremony unfolded in five captivating chapters, seamlessly blending traditional fireworks with drones, multimedia and interactive technology. The show transformed the night sky into a vibrant canvas of artistic imagery, offering audiences an immersive sensory experience.

Huang Cheng, director of the opening ceremony, described the event as a convergence of cultural memory, using fireworks to evoke emotion and connect audiences with shared dreams.
