Regulation of Hangzhou on the Protection and Promotion of Intellectual Property Rights will come into effect on January 1, 2025, providing legal framework for intellectual property protection in Hangzhou.

The regulation takes the lead to explore the data-related intellectual property protection in China, encourages the cultivation of high-value patents and the construction of trademark brands, and provides micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with intellectual property transformation paths.
