On Sept 20, Hangzhou will launch its first direct flight to Nagoya, according to Xiamen Airlines. Tickets are now on sale.

In the first week, one-way ticket prices from Hangzhou to Nagoya range from 900 to 1,600 yuan ($126 to $224), including taxes, while return tickets range from 900 to 1200 yuan. The daily flight schedule (local time) is as follows: Flight MF8701 departs Hangzhou at 16:55 and arrives in Nagoya at 20:25; flight MF8702 departs Nagoya at 21:25 and arrives in Hangzhou at 23:00.

This new route is expected to boost trade, cultural exchange, and tourism between the two cities, while eliminating time and costs associated with layovers.
