New landmark in North Hangzhou paves way for good water tourism route

Tangqi Waterway Passenger Transport Center, a new landmark in North Hangzhou, has started construction recently. Upon completion, it will connect scenic water route including the Grand Canal, Tangqi, Dingshan Lake, and Chaoshan Hill, making contributions to regional development in North Hangzhou.

Tangqi is the first town at the south end of the Grand Canal (Hangzhou Section), and is also the starting point of Hangzhou’s water transport. The landscape design of this water center integrates pastoral scenery and Jiangnan’s ancient charm.

The water tourism route linking Tangqi, Dingshan Lake and Chaoshan Hill is expected to be open to the public in October, approximately 15.8 kilometers long, connecting Tangqi Ancient Town, Dingshan Lake Scenic Area, and Chaoshan Hill Scenic Area.
