Hangzhou's foreign investment hit a record high in 2023! From January to November, there are 944 emerging foreign-invested enterprises in Hangzhou, with foreign investment of 8,315 million dollars, ranking the third in the country, next only to Shanghai and Beijing. 

Due to the 19th Asian Games, Hangzhou has attracted more attention of overseas investors, and foreign investment sees growth regardless of global economic recession . It has introduced five investment projects of the World Top 500 Enterprises, such as ARAMCO, Goldman Sachs, Pfizer, Deutsche Bank, and Suez (France).

These achievements are mainly attributed to two aspects. One is support of policies. Hangzhou has successively rolled out multiple policies, to improve the services for foreign-invested enterprises, and achieve the capital increase of more than 3 billion dollars. The other is investment promotion activities. In 2023, Hangzhou set up 51 overseas investment promotion groups in 25 developed countries and regions in Asia and Europe, and held about 20 investment promotion conferences to boost cooperation in international well-known brand projects.
