On November 28, Hangzhou-Deqing Intercity Subway Project started construction, with a total distance of about 25.6 km, setting up nine railway stations, connected to Hangzhou Metro Line 10, scheduled to be completed in 2026.

In addition, people can take the intercity train from Hangzhou to Ningbo, Shaoxing and Jiaxing. At present, the intercity train between Hangzhou and Ningbo has been put into operation since August 1, 2023, with the ticket price of 20 yuan. Hangzhou-Shaoxing intercity subway has achieved the connection with the metro in the urban center. The intercity subway from Hangzhou to Haining (Jiaxing) is also under construction; after completion, the entire journey only takes over 30 minutes.
