Recently, Hangzhou Urban Management Bureau has built 77 comfortable roads around some schools in Hangzhou to ensure the safety and smoothness of pedestrian facilities at the main traffic entrances and exits for primary and middle schools and kindergartens and in the areas around the campuses.

Such roads are located at the school gates, and are provided with eye-catching colored guide lines and clear signs, so that students can enter and leave the school in this area to achieve the separation of people and vehicles and guarantee the safety of students.

In addition, Hangzhou Urban Management Bureau also continuously improves the comprehensive governance level for safety control of campuses and their surrounding areas. For example, on the completed roads, Yuhang District adds the benches and chairs for parents taking children to schools and picking them up; Fuyang District sets the long tree pools in front of school gates to effectively prevent students from crossing the sidewalk to the roadway so as to ensure students’ safe and orderly travel.
