On August 18, the FIDE U16 Chess Olympic Team Tournament 2023 came to an end in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and Chinese Team won the champion.

U16 event is currently the largest and highest-level youth team tournament held by FIDE. A total of 252 players of 63 teams from 47 countries and regions participated in the competition.

Among four players of Chinese Team, Kong Xiangrui and Lu Miaoyi are from Hangzhou Qi-Yuan(Zhili) Chess Hall. 

Kong Xiangrui seized the gold medal of the third board order with the results of seven winning games and one losing game.

Lu Miaoyi obtained the gold medal of the fourth board order with the results of nine winning games.

Two young players helped their team win the champion with outstanding performance, and gained the first world champion in their career.
