The third China-Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and the 24th Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium were held in Ningbo from May 16 to 20.

The expo is expected to provide a broader platform for Hangzhou-based companies to seize business opportunities, expand their market presence, and enhance openness.

According to the Hangzhou municipal bureau of commerce, a procurement team consisting of 307 enterprises from Hangzhou, including retailers, import traders, and cross-border e-commerce platforms, is attending the expo for procurement.

Meanwhile, 32 enterprises from Hangzhou have set up booths at the expo, showcasing their top-notch products in categories such as home furnishings, outdoor furniture, kitchenware, household appliance accessories, home textiles, and non-woven fabric goods.

In addition to procurement and exhibition, Hangzhou took advantage of the platform to attract investment and talent.

For example, on the afternoon of May 16, the city organized on-site contract signings for four foreign-funded projects, focusing on fields such as high-end equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and the digital economy.

Central and Eastern Europe serves as a regional support for the Belt and Road Initiative, and cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries has become increasingly close, with immense potential.

"Hangzhou will actively seek new cooperative opportunities in the Central and Eastern European market and promote the integration of industries in the economic and trade sectors," stated an official from the city's commerce bureau.
