David Chipperfield, a British architect, has recently won the 2023 Pritzker Architecture Prize as the highest international award in the architecture field. His works are featured by modern and simple design. Here are four buildings designed by him in Hangzhou.

Jiushu Apartment is adjacent to “Nine Creeks in the Misty Forest” and “Bamboo-lined Path at Yunqi”, two of “Ten New Views of the West Lake”. It is one of the luxury mansions in Hangzhou and won RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) International Award, together with Bird’s Nest and Water Cube.

Eshine Building, which is located on Moganshan Road, Hangzhou, is distinctive for its long and concise geometric configuration and unique color. In 2016, it was selected as “One of the Top 30 Buildings in the World”.
