As Chinese Sci-Fi Blockbuster Wandering Earth 2 became a hit, the application of artificial intelligence in the movie has drawn wide attention. Thanks to the influential movie, RoboCT, an exoskeleton technology enterprise located at the AI town in Yuhang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, has attracted experts and customers coming for technology communications and trial use of products. 

Exoskeleton robot is like a coat put on the human body and is therefore known as "wearable robot". It is said that the key to the R&D and production of the exoskeleton robots includes the core components, the human-computer interaction algorithm and the mass production supply chain. It took RoboCT several years to complete the self research and production of the core elements and to solve the problems involved in the production process. 

Different from the application scenarios in the movie, the exoskeleton robots in reality are mainly applied to rehabilitation and elderly care.

Besides, such exoskeleton robots are mainly used to serve three populations. They can assist patients with spinal injuries in movement, reduce the risk of disability for patients with hemiplegia due to neurological injuries, and help the elderly with difficulty in walking.  

As of the end of 2022, the exoskeleton robots have been available in more than 400 hospitals and institutions and have been used for 280,000 person-times.
