Commodities imported via cross-border e-commerce rack the shelves.

Recently, the shelves of Hangzhou cross-border e-commerce enterprises have been stacked with commodities imported from all over the world. The working personnel are up to their necks, while the enterprises are going all out to grab orders and rush to deliver the goods in time, all striving for a good start in the first season of the year.

While domestic consumers are making global purchase, more and more Chinese enterprises are selling their commodities to the whole world via cross-border e-commerce. Based on the records of previous orders, many enterprises deliver the commodities via cross-border logistics to overseas enterprises or overseas warehouses in advance, where the goods may be directly delivered to the customers immediately after the orders are placed, thus to ensure a low logistic cost, timely delivery and good after-sales services and establish a B2B cross-border e-commerce export mode. In this way, it takes only about five days to deliver the goods to the foreign consumers. It improves consumers’ shopping experience, enhances the competitiveness of the products and helps to explore the overseas market.

In addition, the government will work to organize multiple Hangzhou-based enterprises to participate in on-site exhibitions overseas and take actions to expand the market (annually organize over 100 foreign trade groups to participate in over 100 overseas exhibitions, thus to ensure that over 3,000 overseas enterprises will go abroad and that total foreign trade volume will be increased by 100 billion yuan.). Multiple preferential subsidies will be provided to alleviate enterprises’ burdens and facilitate Hangzhou-based enterprises to expand overseas business.

It is said that 20 Hangzhou-based enterprises will go to Uganda and Tanzania to visit famous local enterprises, and survey the status of local cross-border e-commerce, household appliances, textiles and garments, foods and beverages, and other industries. Based on the survey, the cooperation between Chinese and African industrial parks along the “Belt and Road” will be deepened, and more efforts will be put to build the overseas services and cooperation park in Hangzhou Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area for Hangzhou enterprises to establish overseas warehouses in Africa and achieve better and more sustainable development.
