Zhejiang University Medical College Affiliated Sir Run Shaw Hospital received an invitation for remote group consultation on the treatment of a COVID-19 case from Yuyao Fourth People's Hospital on January 9. The hospital successfully applied 5G+AR technology to realize remote treatment of the 87-year-old female patient surnamed Shi.

It’s reported that the 5G+AR remote emergency response system researched and developed under the coordination of ZUM LLU Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital has been highly acclaimed by grassroots physicians in Hangzhou, Yuyao, Putuo and Longyou. Through the audio and video interactive system based on Unicom 5G communication and AR technology, the system helps the primary medical system to build a standard information-based homogenized emergency response procedure. 

Information technology enables the maximum use of the limited resources of medical experts, solves the problem of unbalanced distribution of medical services and resources and enhances the efficiency and standard for treatment of COVID-19 cases in counties.
