126 enterprises got off to a flying start and secured tentative orders of USD 450 million at "Overseas Hangzhou" Trade Fair opened in Dubai yesterday, which was Hangzhou's first overseas foreign trade fair in three years since the outbreak of COVID-19.
The enterprises that participated in the fair are from ten trades, including food, machinery, beauty and home appliances. Many Hangzhou-based enterprises indicate that on-site exhibition is more effective to know the demands of overseas market. For example, high and medium-end personal-care materials are the most inquired products, of which, the design of baby’s diapers has been highly favored. Apparel enterprises find that the customers from the Middle East prefer simple and elegant design to luxury and complicated design they used to like.
Dubai has been a gateway to the Middle East Market. By participating in the fair, Chinese enterprises can not only strengthen exchanges with old customers and enter into long-term cooperation with them, but also make acquaintance with new customers and grab more orders.
