Loaded with 50 containers of fabrics with a total value of USD 4.5 million, the first “Keqiao” China-Europe freight train pulled off from Qianqing Freight Depot of Xiaoshan-Ningbo Railway in Hangzhou the other day. The train was bound for multiple countries in Central Asia after the transfer at Jinhuanan Station, indicating an additional international express freight channel traversing across Eurasia that has been available for foreign trade transportation from Keqiao, Shaoxing.
Keqiao District of Shaoxing has registered a steady growth of foreign trade in recent years, with approximately 60% exports going to countries and regions involved in the “Belt and Road”. China-Europe train is a new quick and efficient channel for international trade. It not only facilitates international trade and economic cooperation, but also helps cities along the railway to go global and establish their own brands.
