The Grand Canal Human Resources Summit kicked off on Nov 15 in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, with the aim of attracting high-level talents.
About 500 people engaged in human resource management and research, experts, scholars, and heads of well-known human resources institutions, enterprises, and human resources departments gathered together to discuss the future of the development of human resources in Zhejiang.
In recent years, the human resources service industry has witnessed fast development in Hangzhou, with its industrial development environment and service capabilities gradually improving. The city has gathered more than 1,000 human resource service agencies of various types that hire 28,000 employees.
The China Hangzhou Human Resources Service Industrial Park is located in Gongshu. The fifth in the country and the first national-level human resources service industrial park in the province, it is home to nearly 200 institutions of various types.
In 2021, the park generated an output value of 15.1 billion yuan ($2.13 billion) and introduced 380 overseas experts and high-end intellectual projects, and 12,403 high-end talents.
The Headhunting Alliance comprising organizations from 18 cities along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal was also established during the summit. The alliance is led by the China Hangzhou Human Resources Service Industrial Park.
The result of a digital reform pilot was also released by the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Zhejiang Province during the event.
A joint strategic cooperation agreement on "Sharing Human Resources and Promoting Common Prosperity" was signed by China Hangzhou Human Resources Service Industrial Park and Quzhou Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security during the summit as well.
