With the opening of the Red Sandalwood Art Plaza under Dengyun Bridge across the Grand Canal on July 24, the former dead-end road under the bridge has now turned into a fantastic 24-hour museum. Located between Qiaoxizhi Street and Xiaohe Historical Block, the Art Plaza is composed of Tiancheng Hall, Tiangong Hall, Art Street and Wooden Artwork Gallery. 

The first batch of red sandalwood artworks created by great Chinese masters was exhibited on the opening day of the museum. In the future, the 24-hour museum will also display woven bamboo wares, stone carvings, lacquered artworks and other antique works. The museum is expected to be fully open to the public by the end of October.
