Under the influence of continuous high temperature in recent days, villagers in Wengjiashan tea garden near the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, put on special "sun-proof clothes" for their tea trees.

The "clothes" are made of black veils. They can prevent the trees from being scorched by direct sunlight and reduce water loss.

Farmers get up early in the morning to put the veil on, since the temperature will be too high later of the day. They also water the trees artificially in the early morning and evening to ensure the trees survive the hot weather.
