With the theme of "experiencing winter swimming in hot summer", the 17℃ Xin'an River International Swimming Challenge Jiande China 2022 was held in Xin’an River of Jiande on July 17. Nearly 3,000 swimmers from 14 provinces (cities and autonomous regions) took part in two events such as 900m Cross-river Swimming Challenge and 1,700m Daring Cold Water Swimming Challenge, to challenge themselves by swimming in 17℃ Xin'an River in hot summer with the temperature of nearly 40℃. Xin'an River in Jiande is originated from the bottom of Qiandao Lake at a depth of about 70m, and the water remains at 14℃-17℃ all year round.
