The BRICS International Workshop on Traditional Chinese Medicine was hosted in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province on July 7.

The event was aimed at promoting international standardization exchanges in the field of traditional medicine and promoting BRICS cooperation in the field of standardization.

During the event, experts from Zhejiang put forward proposals for international standards of Chinese medicinal materials such as Wenyujin and Zhejiang Fritillaria. At present, China has issued 86 international standards for traditional Chinese medicine, which has been growing in stature in the international medical scene.

On July 14, authorities in Zhejiang province will also hold a BRICS standardization expert seminar in the field of semiconductor lighting to help BRICS countries save energy and reduce emissions through standardized means.
