A new blood donation center was recently set up near West Lake in Hangzhou to celebrate World Blood Donor Day, which falls on June 14.

The center has a special illustration designed by the Shanghai Animation Film Studio featuring the seven calabash brothers from the popular cartoon "Calabash Brothers".

Following the debut of the center, many donors lined up in a queue while being served breakfast and drinks by volunteers. The center features two doctors for pre-checkups and four blood donation machines.
