The main line of Moganshan Elevated Road Upgrading and Renovation Project was open to trial run at 10:00 am on the morning of June 12. With the opening of the elevated road, the time necessary for driving from north Hangzhou to downtown Hangzhou will be reduced from half an hour to 5 minutes. It also marks the accessibility of double elevated roads by residents living in Liangzhu Region.
The main line of Moganshan Elevated Road starts from the T-interchange of Liushi Elevated Road in the south and ends at the toll station of No. 104 National Highway in the northern section of the Ring Expressway in the north, with a total length of 5.5 km. Designed as two-way 6-lane city expressway, the elevated road set up 4.5 pairs of ramps with the maximum allowed speed of 80 km per hour.
