Jiang Lijun, a former national first-level athlete, got several fencing champions when he was young. After retirement, he came to Hangzhou for teaching. He often carries out the training for the technical movements and competition psychology of athletes, and shoulders the responsibility of promoting fencing to the whole people. In addition to some market-oriented training centers, in the past two years, the primary and middle schools in Hangzhou have launched the activity of fencing entering the campus to make "Asian Games + Campus" become a new cultural trend in that fencing is very popular among young students.

Jiang Lijun said: "Fencing is a very good sport for children's character training and physical development. For the amount of exercise, fencing is no less physically demanding than any other sport. In the fencing training, children need to solve difficulties by themselves when facing opponents and on-site emergencies. The long-term training can cultivate children’s psychological quality of being brave to face difficulties."

Countless young students compete to learn fencing. During the event, the finals hall, preliminaries hall and warm-up hall will be put into use. After the Asian Games, the facilities in the fencing venue will be preserved in the campus as the heritage of the Asian Games, which will further promote the development of the campus fencing club sports, so that the seeds of the Asian Games Culture sprout, blossom and bear fruits in the colleges & universities.
