As Hangzhou Asian Games is around the corner, the West Lake and Xixi Wetland, as the landmark scenic areas of the city, have made every effort to improve and upgrade the scenery based on "Green and Economical" concept. Trees, flowers, grass, plants, clouds and rivers were arranged in a picturesque style so that tourists feel like traveling in a picture. The scenic areas display the glamour and charm of the typical gardens of Jiangnan featuring scarlet azaleas along the paths, winding wooden boardwalk leading to secluded places, and pathways linking scenery with lakes. Hangzhou is improving its overall image for the upcoming Asian Games.
