17 major projects of Xihu District in the second quarter have started recently. The launching ceremony was held at the construction site of the West Lake Gymnasium, which will be built into a city parlor and sports park integrating competitions, sports, leisure, social events and entertainment activities. The renewed gymnasium will benefit about 900,000 residents in Xihu District and nearby. The West Lake Gymnasium has become a witness of the development of Hangzhou from 2004.
