Hangzhou Xianlin Water Plant has been put into pilot operation recently after more than three years of construction. High-quality water from the Qiandao Lake is flowing to the northwest of urban Hangzhou and the west of Yuhang District, benefiting about 1.2 million citizens.

Xianlin Water Plant is located in the mountainous area at the northeast corner of the crossing of Xianfu Highway and Liuhe Road. It is not only an essential part of Qiandao Lake water supply project but Hangzhou’s first gravity water plant in mountainous area with a daily water supply capacity of 600,000 tons. High-quality water from the Qiandao Lake flows into Xianlin Water Plant naturally thanks to elevation difference and then flows out by gravity. The design not only lowers the cost but reduces energy consumption caused by production, making Xianlin Water Plant an energy-saving, efficient, and environmentally friendly “low carbon” water plant.
