The parent-child consumer market was booming during the Children’s Day holiday. In fact many parents had already bought presents in shopping malls for their children last weekend in advance. The reporter noticed that many of the consumers who brought kids to the shopping malls were post-80s or post-90s. They bought toys, new clothes and new shoes, and then had a lovely dinner together. The latest data from Intime show a rise in both per customer transaction and the number of consumers of children products before the Children’s Day holiday, sales amount increasing by 71% compared with the data of the previous week. Children products are the most popular among all categories, with toys up 106%, children’s shoes up 87%, and infants’ clothing up 93% compared to the data of the previous week.
