Regulations of Zhejiang Province on the Management of Household Waste is to take into effective on 1 May 2021. Similar to the Regulations of Hangzhou on Life Management implemented on 15 August 2019, household wastes in the Regulations of Zhejiang Province are classified into four: recyclables, hazardous waste, perishables and other waste. However, the difference is that the Regulations of Zhejiang Province further defines the management responsibility of each party for household waste sorting, emphasizes urban and rural overall development and reduction from the source, and severely punishes those who violates regulations.
