The roaring rotary drilling rig drilled the hole for the first pile foundation of the grand bridge crossing Hangzhou-Huangshan Railway, part of Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway Phase II, not far away from Tonglu High-Speed Railway Station, on the morning of 27th February, marking the start of the main work of the project. It is said that Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway Phase I, aka Yiwu-Wenzhou Railway, has also started construction. The direct transit time from Hangzhou to Wenzhou will be shortened to one hour only when the construction of Hangzhou West-Wenzhou railway completes, making it the most convenient passenger transport route between the two cities. Soon people from both cities will feel like living in one city.
