Introduction:

El Calafate is a city in Santa Cruz, Patagonia, Argentina. It is the third largest city in the province. Santa Cruz, after the capital Buenos Aires, is the second largest province in Argentina, and has active oil, fishing and animal husbandry industries. It is home to 22,000 people and has rich natural resources. 

El Calafate is a famous tourist city. The famous Glacier National Park, listed as a UNESCO world cultural heritage in 1981, is located in the city. The Perito Moreno Glacier is the most famous attraction. It is also an important transit center for other attractions in the province. The city is well equipped with an international airport and other supporting infrastructure, and offers a convenient traffic pattern.
