Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, announced a new scheme to optimize its business environment at a news conference on Feb 11.

These new solutions follow the notice issued by the State Council last September to improve the business climate in six Chinese cities including Hangzhou. Officials said that the new scheme proposes improvements in 153 areas.

In the new scheme, Hangzhou will support companies to expand their businesses, and will conduct reforms to hell companies set up other subsidiaries with the same business operations in a certain area.

The city will also improve the mechanism for business entities to enter or exit the market.

The new scheme states that Hangzhou will continue to facilitate investment and project construction.

The city will optimize the management system to facilitate foreign investment in Hangzhou and better serve foreign skilled workers.

According to the scheme, the overall competitiveness of Hangzhou's business climate is expected to reach world-class standards within three to five years.
