Hangzhou has kept improving its open economy level in recent years to enhance quality economic development. Newly-released report of the import and export trade in the first three quarters shows that Hangzhou’s import has gained brilliant improvement. According to the data released by the municipal commerce bureau (January to September 2021), Hangzhou’s import and export volume reached 500.77 billion yuan, up 24.1%, among which the import volume reached 183.66 billion yuan, up 21.2%. A “world supermarket” for import products was recently established by some Hangzhou-based enterprises at the fourth CIIE by virtue of trade facilitation.
