As three quarters of the first year of the “14th Five-Year” plan has past, Hangzhou’s import and export have gained great growth. Data from Qianjiang Customs shows that Hangzhou’s total import and export value reached 538.09 billion yuan in the first three seasons of this year, up 23.3% compared with the same period last year. Thereinto, the export value reached 331.92 billion yuan, up 24.3%, and the import value reached 206.17 billion yuan, up 21.6%. The hard-earned boom is attributed to not only enterprises’ positive reaction to market changes but the powerful institutional superiority. Hangzhou has made great effort in cultivating enterprises with “Independent Intellectual Property Rights, Independent Brands, and High Added Value” under the background of globalization, bringing more and more Hangzhou brands to the international stage.
