Jande, a county-level city in Hangzhou, is going all out to develop a national demonstration zone for aviation, local media reported on Aug 31.

Last year, the Jiande Aviation Industry Innovation Service Building, which is located in the Jiande Economic Development Zone, received authorization from the provincial government to become an "innovative service complex."

The expansion and renovation project of the Qiandao Lake Airport in Jiande will be completed soon as workers are now in the final phase of construction.

The airport has a 1,200-meter runway, which will be highly attractive to aviation companies as it allows for more test flights, said Lang Xianping, deputy director of the Jiande Economic Development Zone.
