Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City attracted $920 million worth of foreign investment in the first half of this year, according to local media outlets in Yuhang district, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on July 19.
At the district's recent group signing ceremonies, the sci-tech city recommended 37 projects, a year-on-year increase of 68.2 percent.
The 37 projects included the regional headquarters of industrial leaders like home appliance giant Midea Group, as well as innovative ventures conducted by teams led by top talents from China and foreign countries.
To date, the sci-tech city has assembled more than 1,000 companies in life sciences and health, one of its pillar industries.
Officials of the sci-tech city have pledged to offer better services to companies that intend to establish their projects in the city.
