As Phase 1 of Hangzhou Metro Line 7 was open for operation on Dec 30, 2020, the phase 2 that connects Wushan Square Station to Citizen Center Station is scheduled to be running by the end of 2021.

After its opening, passengers heading to the Olympic Sports Center can interchange for Line 7 at the Citizen Center Station.

Line 7 begins at Wushan Square Station and reaches all the way to Jiangdong'er Road Station, with a total length of 47.481 km. It consists of 24 stations - 19 of which have been put into use in 2020, traveling from the Olympic Sports Centre to Jiangdong'er Road Station. The construction of Line 7 Phase 2 begins at Wushan Square Station and ends at the Citizen Center Station, completing the routes we have today.

The part of line 7 that connects the Civic Center Station and Olympic Sports Center is an underground tunnel crossing the Qiantang River, extending a total length of 2.6 km. After its completion, it will make a quick and efficient mode of transport around Jiang'gan, Bingjiang and Xiaoshan Districts in Hangzhou.

Line 7 is the first type A metro in Hangzhou. Comparing to the type AH metro with a maximum capacity of 300 people, type A can carry up to 500 passengers at once. Its maximum operating speed is 100km/h. It takes approximately 20 minutes from Jiangdong'er Road Station to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airpot, at a cost of 5 RMB.
