On February 28, a Hainan Airlines aircraft took off from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to London, carrying loads of special guests —28 tons ofgoods purchased by British consumers. After its arrival, it will bring back a batch of imported commodities.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, commercial air fleetsare still grounded in many places and this aircraft has not been returned to service for months. In cooperation with Asendia, an international logistics company, the HNA Group started to use some passenger planesas freighters. However, seats are not removed from the cabin of the Passenger-to-Freighter Conversion aircraft and are well protected.

The flight will depart every Wednesday and Friday. From March 16, more cargo flights converted from passengerplanes will be operational.
